Paddleboard Race Event
Get ready for the Caribbean’s best SUP event. The annual Painkiller Cup is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024. Racers can choose between two events: 14-mile downwind team race with $4,000 prize money; and the 2.5 Mini-Painkiller Cup solo race. Both races finish at beautiful White Bay on Jost Van Dyke where you can enjoy lunch and chill out at Hendo’s Hideout.
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN:
14-Mile Downwind Race
3-person teams which must include at least one female paddler. 10:00am start is off Trellis Bay. Teams paddle down the North Shore of Tortola and across to JVD. Finish on the Beach at White Bay. Depending on conditions this can be a challenging race. Open ocean sill and wind can play havoc on the paddlers as they work down the course. Paddlers rotate every 25-minutes.
Mini-Painkiller Cup
Solo race starting off Sandy Cay. 2.5 mile race down to White Bay. Small waves in the beginning but then the course smooths our as you guy the coast of Jost Van Dyke. This race is easy for almost any level of paddler.
$4,000 prize money divided amongst the top teams in the Painkiller Cup, plus individual trophies. Mini-Painkiller cup receive trophies and prizes.
